We decided to take this tour on a short anniversary trip to Sonoma, and it was alot of fun. Christopher was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and fun! The trolley is really cute and if you’re staying close to downtown Sonoma they’ll pick you up at your hotel, which is nice. They provide water all-day and lunch, the lunch is by Girl and the Fig and it was yummy. It was nice to be driven around for wine tastings, and the trolley provides the experience of the countryside because you’re not cooped up in a car, it was lovely…

“I have never written a yelp review before but Chris’s service was so great, I feel compelled to share! Chris, my tour guide, was so wonderful that I have been bragging about him ever since. This guy is perfect at his job! He stays in character the entire time, jokes around with everybody, and seems to know everything about the Sonoma wine industry. I would do this again! A great date idea too. You will never feel bored or uncomfortable because Chris has a great way of getting a group of people who just met to have fun together.”

“So much fun! This was a great tour. A mix of history of the area and four different wineries. Fantastic! We visited two “big conglomerate” wineries and two family owned wineries. The best part…our guide, Chris. He was entertaining and informative; a real character. Lunch was delicious. It was catered from A Girl and A Fig. Highly recommended. Be sure to ask for Chris!”

“Awesome way to spend the day!”

From the second the Trolley arrived to pick us up to the second we got dropped off, my husband & enjoyed every second and it was worth the price too. It was a more entertaining way to spend visiting wineries than the typical bus or limo trips I’ve been on. Chris our tour guide definitely added an extra twist to the entertainment value as well, knew everybody, knew the wineries and a just a fun character who lights up everybody around him… We’ll try the Napa Trolley tour on our next visit. Plus we were told they’re adding more trolleys and routes soon.

“Casual Trolley Tour of Beautiful Wineries”

Reviewed January 3, 2013

My husband and 2 friends (another couple) took this tour together in Oct 2012. We had a gorgeous day for enjoying the open car trolley. Our guide, “Cable Car Christopher,” was a real character. He has a big personality and…inject(ed) some fun and excitement into the group… The 3 of the 4 wineries we visited were fantastic… Lunch was simple and very tasty. We really enjoyed visiting the caves at a couple wineries, particularly the one with the tasting room inside the cave. Overall a nice tour that was easily accessible to our rental home and eliminated any need for a designated driver.

“Great tour guide, wonderful time!”

Reviewed November 15, 2012

We took this tour for our last day in Sonoma on our honeymoon. Originally I was nervous cause I thought the tour would be sold out cause I was booking it at 7AM and the trolley tour starts at 10:30AM, but luckily we were allowed to book our tickets online. Once the trolley picked us up in front of City Hall we found out we were the only ones taking the tour that day, so we actually had the entire trolley to our self. The highlight of the tour was certainly our tour guide Christopher. It was amazing how much he knew about wine country and when we would stop at each winery, he would give us a little tour of the inside and tell us the stories behind the wineries using the props and pictures on the inside as a guide, when he explained the stories using the props he did it so easily you would think he put them there himself and he did it with so much excitment you would think he was doing this for the first time. In summary, this tour could have been very boring and dull, but this tour and most notably the tour guide made our day and trip and we appreciated how the guide made it so we didn’t feel like we were sitting on a empty trolley. Wonderful time! I would suggest doing this first when you get to Sonoma because by the end you will know your way around the city.

Thanks Chris,

Nick & Kelly from Florida

“Tour was great…”

Cable Car Christopher was our tour guide. He was OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Trolley was clean and neat. Trolley arrived on time to pick us up at our hotel. (Also dropped us off at hotel at end of tour.). We toured 4 wineries. One big and three small. All were great!!! Each winery had a host for our group and treated us well. We even had a tour of the vineyards at Berzinger. Quite fun. Explored wine (man made) caves and the tasting room was in the last wine cave. Our group of 11 was diverse and became friends by the end of the tour…I give the tour and in particular “Cable Car Christopher” a 10!!!! Would do the tour again if we come back!!!

My friend and I were looking at ways to discover Somona for a day while our stay in Napa. Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley was the perfect choice. Chris, the driver met us at Sonoma Square, which is a wonderful place to shop and eat before or after the tour. Chris was really fun & super knowledgable about Somona & made us laugh the whole time : ). The wineries were wonderful and the provided lunch was delicious. Chris set everthing up at one of the wineries and we got to sit down and eat our lunch while enjoying a glass of wine of our choice after one of the tastings. Perfect day for a couple or girlfriends day out!

We were not disappointed, Chris made us feel at home from the start and we were on our way. We had an extra special fun group and had so many laughs during the day. Chris was so fun, mingling story telling and filling us in on interesting history. We made friends from Texas, North Carolina, L.A. and Serbia. We actually continued the party on together after the tour was over. The food from girl and the fig was fab! wine tours were really great and touring Sonoma was so fun on the trolley. This was my first visit to Sonoma. Took my family members for wine tour. The trolley was well maintained and wine testing great at all four wineries. But what made it excellent was our driver/tour guide Christopher, he was fun, entertaining, courteous and fantastic host. He is very knowledgeable about Sonoma history, too.

I highly recommend this tour!!! I I don’t know if there is any other drive but if you are going, go on day Christopher is driving,

The only reason I don’t give 5 starts is that I had hard time getting email confirmation. I had to called back-n-forth multiple times just to get all tickets sent to me until a nice young lady took a second to take care of it all, plus they did give me a discount price so that turns out to be fine.

I would definitely take this tour again. Thanks again, Christopher, you made this excellent tour even better!!!
